HACCP is a preference for many food processing & packaging companies of meat, poultry, fish, fruits, vegetables, beverages, confectionery, baking, bread, cereal, dairy, milk, cheese, bulk food, health foods, drugs, medicines or medical products. This is mainly for food safety reasons, but it is also driven by customer demands that GMP & HACCP guidelines be implemented at the facility for continuing business relationships. Thus implementation of GMP & HACCP at your company can be helpful in staying competitive and retaining or increasing your market share.
We provide consulting for all types of HACCP Standards. This includes ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems International Standard, Programs with CFIA Guidelines, HACCP Advantage Programs, and some of the newly introduced local or regional programs.
What is HACCP?
HACCP (Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Points) is a Food Safety Management System that takes a proactive approach to prevent food borne diseases. It identifies and manages risks in food supply chain, which can be from various sources & contaminations such as raw materials, machinery, packaging film, containers, or environments etc. Many food processing, packaging and pharmaceutical industries follow GMP and HACCP guidelines. HACCP Program incorporates GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) such as Sanitation, Equipment Cleaning, Pest Control, Material Storage, Monitoring, Transportation, Personnel Training and Inspections etc. Policy, Procedures, Recalls, Approvals, CCP (Critical Control Points) and HACCP Plans are documented. Scheduled Internal Auditing is conducted to ensure implemented program is followed & Corrective Actions taken as may be necessary.
